Altechmind Technologies (OPC) Private Limited (“Altechmind”, “we”, “us”) operates store.altechmind.com (the “Store”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
Data Fiduciary: Altechmind Technologies (OPC) Private Limited, Unit No 6WS9, Mani Casadona, Plot No IIF 04, Cabin No 9/3, Street No 372, New Town, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata, West Bengal — 700161, India. GSTIN: 19AAZCA8980H1ZN.
1. Data we collect
- Account & contact: name, email address, and at checkout your billing address, phone, and GSTIN (if provided).
- Order & licence data: products purchased, order/invoice records, licence keys, and the site URLs where you activate licences.
- Sign-in data: one-time codes are emailed to verify sign-in; we store only a hashed, short-lived form of each code, never the plaintext.
- Support data: messages and any images you attach to support tickets.
- Reviews: if you leave a product review, we store your review and display it publicly with your display name.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device information and logs — used for security, fraud prevention and rate-limiting.
- Payment data: processed by our payment partner. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details, not your full card/bank numbers.
2. How we use your data
To create/manage your account and process orders and GST invoices; to deliver Products, generate and validate licence keys, and provide updates; to sign you in securely and prevent abuse; to provide support; to meet legal, tax (GST) and accounting obligations; and to secure and improve the Store.
3. Legal bases (DPDP Act)
We process your data for the performance of our contract with you (orders, licences, support), to comply with legal obligations (tax/accounting), for legitimate uses such as security and fraud prevention, and with your consent where required. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (this will not affect processing already carried out).
4. Sharing your data
We share data only as needed with: our payment processors (Cashfree Payments and PayPal) to take payment; email/IT providers (e.g., Google Workspace) to send transactional emails such as codes, receipts and licence keys; our accounting provider (Zoho Books) to issue GST invoices; and professional advisors or authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
4a. Who on our team has access
Authorized members of our team can access the information needed to run the store and support you. For example, administrators and store managers can view order details (what was purchased, when, and the invoice) and customer details (name, email, billing address and GSTIN). Team access is limited to fulfilling orders, issuing invoices, generating and managing licences, processing refunds, and providing support.
5. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside India. Where they do, we take steps to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep account, order, invoice, GST and licence records for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to meet our tax, accounting, statutory, audit and legal-compliance obligations, and to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Financial and invoice records may be retained on a long-term basis where required or advisable for compliance; we do not set a fixed shorter limit on such records. One-time sign-in codes expire and are removed shortly after use. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, updating, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and raise a grievance. To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer (below). We may verify your identity and may retain data where required by law.
8. Cookies
The Store uses cookies that are necessary for it to function: to keep your cart contents while you browse, to run checkout, to maintain your sign-in session (including a “remember me” option that keeps you signed in longer), and for security and fraud prevention. These are essential cookies. You can control or block cookies in your browser, but disabling essential cookies may break sign-in, the cart, or checkout. We do not use cookies to sell your data.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures — including HMAC-signed licence operations, hashed one-time codes, rate-limiting and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Store is not directed to children and is intended for business/professional customers.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
